Here the wonderful Ellen Brown gives a fact-filled interview with Charlie McGrath about how to solve the current crisis. Instead of saying that going to a gold standard is the only answer, she offers some very simple solutions: namely that a Government prints and distributes its own money (as opposed to issuance by private banks, as is the case now); that everyone is given a standard monthly wage, working or not; that retirement drops to 50, working a 4-day week, etc. Some excellent ideas from wonderful lady. She's up there with Cythia McKinney and Catherine Austin Fitts as my modern heroines, and happily they are all prolific writers:
