It's no good, I have to say it. I have never been so ashamed to be British, never been so embarassed to be white, never seen or heard such slimy sycophancy from grown-up and supposedly educated people who have, quite literally, sold their souls to the devil, and who should know better. I don't care if the BBC does pay your wages for that mansion you've acquired on the borders, you should have had the decency to stand up and say 'no, I'm not going to debase myself by gibbering on for 16+ hours about what colour dress he or she was wearing', etc.
Truly, truly awful.
