Bedouin of the Negev

When I was in Palestine recently, I saw a tiny group of Bedouin, eking out a living with their straggly goats on parched land in the Jordan valley. These once-proud people have roamed these lands for millennia, but now they are forbidden by Israel from moving with their animals, because of 'security'. The impossibility of their situation and the end of some of the world's last nomads is very sad:
